AAM Solution Development Process

USI uses a five-step process to design and implement AAM solutions as follows:

  • AAM Requirement Definition
    USI assigns a lead consultant to work with the client to analyze and capture their needs and requirements for a AAM solution. The lead consultant is supported by our network of technical experts and experienced AAM operations team.
  • AAM Technical Assessment
    USI finds and conducts technical assessment on AAM aircraft and sub systems to determine their suitability to meet the client’s requirement.
  • AAM Design and COTS Optimization
    USI will develop designs to optimize the commercial of the shelf (COTS) platform and subsystems to meet the client’s need. This will include the integration of specialist cameras and sensor payloads, network and ground control station solutions.
  • AAM Implementation and Training
    USI designs and implements the client’s concept of operation, conducts the training of operations managers, pilots and analysts to establish the AAM capability. Alternatively, USI can deliver and operate the AAM solution as a service.
  • AAM Sustainment and Modernization
    USI designs and delivers the sustainment package to keep the client’s AAM system operational. As the requirement changes, USI assists in the modernization of the AAM system to ensure it remains relevant and offers value for money.
